CERTIFIED ORGANIC
Australian Owned and Made
in the Heart of Tassie
With over a decade of hands-on cultivation experience, we take an organic, sustainable approach — growing in native soil, under natural conditions, with a sharp focus on quality over quantity.
Designed to shift the standard
Our mission is simple: to offer patients high-quality, truly Australian-made products at a fair price. No imports, no inflated costs — just real Aussie quality at a fair price.
About us
We don’t often stop to think about where things come from. But when it comes to cannabis, you probably should. Because how it’s grown — and where — makes all the difference.
There’s a reason we farm here. Tasmania is home to Kennaook/Cape Grim, where CSIRO has measured the world’s cleanest air for fifty years. The water’s just as good. It’s the kind of place where you can grow certified organic without fighting the environment to do it.
At Hale Farm, we grow our flower organically in native soil in Tasmania, using sustainable practices that put the health of the land first. We don’t rely on synthetic inputs or cut corners — we grow slowly, seasonally, and with care. Our sun-grown plants soak up clean Tasmanian light, and our indoor strains thrive in living soil organics — a rich, microbe-dense medium that’s alive with worms, fungi, and bacteria, all working together in a natural web of life that feeds and protects the plant.
At Hale Farm, everything starts with the soil. We grow organically, in small batches, with no shortcuts.
Our Story
Hale Farm was founded by a team of growers and makers who believe that good cannabis starts with good soil, good people, and patience. What began as a small operation in Tasmania has grown into a purpose-led farm supplying premium flower and extracts across the country — always small-batch, always done with care.
Our Mission
Hale Farm exists to grow cannabis products that are clean, consistent, and made with real patients in mind. Our focus is on quality over volume, with sustainable practices, solventless methods, and a deep respect for the therapeutic potential of the whole plant — including often-overlooked minor cannabinoids.
Our Vision
We’re here to help raise the standard of cannabis in Australia — by proving that craft cultivation, done right and with integrity, can deliver better outcomes for patients. Our goal is to see Australian-grown, patient-first products become the trusted choice in clinics and dispensaries nationwide.
How we grow
We farm regeneratively. It’s a word that gets used loosely, so here’s what we mean by it.
Most agriculture — including most cannabis — aims to hold the ground steady: replace what the crop takes out, keep the yield up, go again. Regenerative farming sets a higher bar. The soil should finish a season in better shape than it started: more biology in it, better structure, holding more water.
In cannabis that’s a bigger departure than it sounds. It’s a hungry annual crop, and it’s usually grown in inert media on a synthetic feed schedule — the plant gets fed, the ground gets nothing, and every input arrives in a bag. Farm it regeneratively and the soil biology does that work instead: fungi and bacteria release nutrients at the pace the plant actually wants them, and the roots go looking rather than waiting.
Here’s what that looks like at Hale Farm, across both brands — indoor and out.
We don’t till. Turning soil over tears apart fungal networks that took seasons to build. We leave the structure alone and let it keep working.
We farm with insects, not against them. Companion planting and predatory insects handle pest pressure — which is what makes the next one possible.
No synthetics, anywhere. No synthetic fertilisers and no synthetic pesticides, across the whole operation.
We catch and reuse our own water. Rainwater capture on a closed loop, so we’re recirculating what we collect rather than constantly drawing more in.
One honest note on the word. Our organic status is certified and audited — Southern Cross Certified, Cert. No. 26078. “Regenerative” isn’t a certified term in Australia, so we use it as a description of how we farm, not as a badge someone handed us. The four practices above are exactly what we mean by it, and we’re happy to talk through any of them.
Things we care about,
and things you might
care about
Other things we care about
We’re deeply aware of the history surrounding this plant — the stigma, the barriers, the harm caused. And we know the industry we’re building now should be better. More transparent. More fair. More grounded in community, not just profit.
At Hale Farm, we speak up when we can, and we support the people and values that shape a more honest future for cannabis in Australia. We’re not here to follow old systems — we’re here to help build new ones.
Things you may care about
If it’s not obvious by now — we love the plant. Which means we’re fussy. About how it’s grown, what goes into it, and what comes out of it.
Our flower is grown using organic methods in living soil, without synthetic fertilisers or pesticides. Every batch is tested for quality and purity — no shortcuts, no weird stuff. Just clean, well-grown flower that smells and smokes exactly how it should.
We’re also focused on exploring the full potential of the plant — dialing in minor cannabinoids, refining terpene profiles, and paying attention to how it feels, not just how it tests.
