Something new in the extraction room

It's shiny, it's big, and it took a lot of planning to get here. Here's the little we can tell you so far.

If you’ve walked past our extraction room lately, you’ll have noticed it’s a bit more crowded. Something new has arrived, and the team hasn’t stopped smiling since.

We can’t show you everything just yet. What we can tell you is why it’s here.

From the start, we’ve wanted every step of what we make to happen on our own farm in Tasmania, and to stay solventless the whole way through. No butane. No ethanol. Just the plants we grow, handled gently, under the same organic certification that covers our soil.

Getting there takes more than good intentions. It takes the right equipment, a lot of planning, and a team willing to learn something new from scratch. This is a big step in that direction.

So what does it do? For now, let’s just say it lets us do more of what we already care about: keeping things solventless, keeping things gentle, and keeping everything on the farm, where we can see it.

Alex, pictured, has been getting to know it inside out. If the grin is anything to go by, it’s going well.

We’ll share more once it’s settled in. Until then, if you want to understand the difference between solventless and solvent-based extraction, and why it matters to us, our extraction guide explains it in plain words.

More soon.
